Overview
Sip and See explores how taste, texture, temperature, and mood can be translated into visual form. Each illustration responds to a different drink—Piña Colada, Salted Mocha, and Matcha Bubble Tea—using color, shape, character, and atmosphere to build a distinct sensory world.
Sensory Translation
The series translates my synesthetic responses to taste into visual form, turning colors, textures, sounds, and imagined imagery into three distinct illustrated worlds.

Reality as a Visual Anchor
I introduced small ‘windows’ of recognizable reality into each composition so viewers could connect the imagined sensory world back to the drink that triggered it.
